Glenn has extensive and varied experience in transport & infrastructure planning/design together with the feasibility, planning and design of highways, major surface and foul water drainage and services for residential, industrial and commercial development projects.

Glenn has previously worked with both overseas and local consultants where he carried out transport, infrastructure, flood risk and drainage planning, detailed design and project management of all aspects of major infrastructure & highways projects. He also has experience of giving evidence at Public Inquiries from Local Plans to Section 78 Inquiries and has gained some notable successes in both the Infrastructure and Transportation fields.

Glenn has worked on many schemes throughout the country and has extensive experience in dealing with projects of significant complexity to a successful outcome.

John Wilde

Director

John has over 20 years industry experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering for both private and public sector clients. During the course of his career he has undertaken a wide range of projects, including major transport modelling exercises and complete traffic signal design solutions both in the UK and overseas.

He has specialised in providing support to private sector developers looking to progress proposals at the planning stage and when seeking allocation through the strategic planning process. He has gained extensive experience on a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, retail, educational and healthcare developments, across an increasing range of technical disciplines.

He has experience of representing clients as an expert witness at both planning appeals and local planning Inquiries.

Stephen is an experienced transport planner with team and people management responsibilities and a successful track record of client satisfaction and project delivery. Through over 20 years in the transport planning industry he has developed a broad range of technical and management skills and has gained experience across both the private and public sectors.

Most recently Stephen has provided technical advice and support to private sector developers through the planning process. His project experience has been developed on a broad range of different land uses and sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, and educational developments. He also has extensive experience in providing support to public sector clients in the areas of development control, Local Plan processes and general technical advice. Stephen has also represented local authority clients at Local Plan examination proceedings as an expert witness.

Theo Sims Harris

Theo has progressed with the company from Engineer to Associate since he joined in 2014, previously having worked with a variety of engineering consultants across a wide variety of projects in a number of different countries.

His main area of expertise is detailed highway and drainage design, producing designs, drawings, details and calculations to be submitted for Technical Approval from Local Highway and Water Authorities and for construction. He has now evolved into supervising more junior staff and more recently become involved in providing flood risk advice to clients, producing Flood Risk Assessments & Drainage Strategies to accompany planning applications.

He has also produced sustainable urban drainage solutions for major projects from feasibility to planning, detailed design, approval and construction to successful completion.

Sam Carson

Infrastructure Consultant

Sam has extensive and varied experience advising public and private sector clients on planning, design and implementation of infrastructure including, highways, flooding, drainage and utilities for a range of commercial and residential development and regeneration projects. Sam’s experience covers preparation of preliminary and detailed highway designs, negotiating Section 278/38 highway agreements in accordance with the Highways Act 1980, preparing flood risk assessments in accordance with NPPF requirements, and the latest Sustainable Drainage principles including Section 104 agreements via the Water Industry Act 1991.

Sam has vast experience negotiating highway stopping up agreements, either via the Town and Country Planning Act or the Highways Act and has given evidence as an expert witness, he has also worked for a number of national and international consultancies and also for a national civil engineering contractor.

Athina Tsolaki

Principal Transport Planner

Athina is a MEng Civil Engineering Graduate from National Technical University of Athens, Greece. After completing a MSc (Hons) in Project Management, Finance and Risk at City University of London, she joined C&A as a graduate in 2016. Athina was promoted to Senior Transport Planner in July 2019 and more recently to Principal Transport Planner in July 2023.

Athina regularly participates in the preparation and writing of Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans, while her role also routinely involves the use of industry-standard trip generation and junction modelling software, including TRICS, TEMPRO, ARCADY, PICADY and LinSig. Due to her engineering background, Athina is also frequently involved in traffic data processing and microscopic simulation (VISSIM) exercises.

Margaret has worked at C&A since July 2018 and has over 30 years of experience in the field of transport planning, working with the public sector and private sector.

Margaret has worked on diverse projects and gained a wide range of experience including transport planning, traffic modelling, data collection, economic assessment, outline design, major scheme appraisals, public inquiry support and transport business cases.

Principal Highways Engineer

Graham Wickenden is a Principal Highways Engineer and has been at C&A since December 2017, he has developed his design skills over many years by working for a few select companies.

Graham has worked on a wide range of design projects from small scale traffic calming projects through to major development access roads and associated offsite improvements, including alterations to the trunk road network.

His wide experience of highway design includes ensuring utilities, drainage, levels, road construction and road users’ requirements are designed in reflection with one another, this when paired with his experience of using “Design Manual for Roads and Bridges” as well as local authority guidance to ensure that any designs produced meet the required standards.

Graham Gard

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Graham has extensive and varied experience in infrastructure design solutions, ground modelling & earthworks regrade solutions – inclusive cut & fill estimates, building engineering design solutions, drainage design including sustainable drainage systems, composite service schemes – highway improvements/geometric design/white lining, project management, liaising with and obtaining approvals and agreements with local authorities (EA Consents, Section 278,38 & 104 Agreements). Proficient in use of Windes, PDS and AutoCAD software design packages.

Graham has extensive experience and specialises in housing developments with particular involvement in housing layouts, levels and drainage layouts, all of which are designed to all current highway standards and in accordance with current NHBC and Building Regulation requirements.

Daniel has over 15 years’ experience in Highway and Infrastructure Design. He has worked on high-profile international projects and flagship UK sites such as Westfield White City/Stratford, providing quality AutoCAD work in both 2D and 3D aspects. He has extensive knowledge of AutoCAD software design packages, as well as knowledge of Civil 3D and 3DS Max design.

Daniel has provided transport planning support on major projects, helping clients accomplish successful outcomes.

Charlie Guile

Principal Transport Planner

Charlie joined C&A as a Principal Consultant in 2021 and has 10 years’ experience in transport planning, advising private sector clients and local authorities across the UK.

He has significant experience in the production of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for residential, employment, leisure and education developments. In the modelling field, Charlie has used VISSIM and Paramics to assess regeneration schemes for Dartford Borough Council and Brighton & Hove City Council.

Charlie is a Member of CIHT and has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sheffield.

Olivia McGarrick

Transport Planner

Olivia began her career with C&A Consulting in 2021 after graduating from UCL with a BSc degree in Geography. Olivia has gained a range of technical skills and experience in the consulting field. Her primary responsibilities include writing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, including various forms of data and traffic analysis.

Utilising her background in geography and geospatial data analysis, Olivia has begun to apply GIS techniques to map and analyse transport and highway links at development sites. She has also used geographic analysis of collision data, hourly traffic and landscape features to carry out evaluations of highway safety and sustainability.

Dipendra Awasthi

Graduate Transport Planner

Dipendra joined C&A as a Graduate Transport Planner in August 2022 after graduating from Pokhara University Nepal with a M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering. Since joining C&A, Dipendra has gained significant experience in the field of Transport Planning including the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other supporting technical documents for a range of schemes.

He is also a competent user of a range of software packages relevant to the industry including TRICS, TEMPro, PICADY and ARCADY and has been extensively involved in assessing traffic impacts of new developments on the local highway junctions.

Scott has been working at C&A since 2021. Scott is a Civil Engineer with over five years’ experience within the consulting engineering industry specialising in drainage and infrastructure design, producing designs, drawings, details, calculations and assisting with submissions to local authorities.

Most recently Scott has expanded his knowledge base and experience into highway and detail design. Scott has extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Autotrack, PDS, Microdrainage, Site 3D and Flood Risk Management. He has gained experience through a variety of projects such as residential, commercial, and retail constructions.

Michael joined C&A as a Graduate Engineer in November 2022. Since joining C&A Michael has gained experience in drainage and infrastructure design, producing designs, details and calculations for clients.

More recently, Michael has gained experience with Highway Design mainly S278 designs and detailed Foul Water Design. Michael has good knowledge in multiple software design packages such as AutoCAD, AutoTrack, Causeway Flow, Infodrainage and Site 3D.

Charlotte Saunders

Senior Transport Planner

Charlotte Saunders, BSc(Hons), is an experienced transport planner with 10 years in the planning industry.  Within that time Charlotte has developed a broad range of technical transport planning skills in delivering projects successfully in both the private and public sectors.

Most recently, Charlotte has provided support to public sector clients in the areas of development control, transport studies and the provision of general technical advice.  She also has experience in preparing Travel Plans to promote sustainable travel for a broad range of different land uses, including residential, commercial, retail and educational developments.
