Limpsfield Grange School (LGS) is the United Kingdom’s sole specialist school for autistic girls in Oxted, Surrey. The school plays a vital role in empowering autistic girls to achieve their potential and lead fulfilling lives. With the growing demand for their services, Surrey County Council have identified the need to expand its facilities to accommodate more students and enhance its resources.
Charles and Associates and Pellings (Design, Property and Construction Consultants) attended a public consultation even. This was to discuss access and transport matters with local residents and parents, gathering valuable feedback for refining the proposed expansion plans.
Discussions were centred around various access-related issues. The primary objective was to identify potential challenges and gather suggestions for improving access for all stakeholders, including students, staff, and visitors. The event focused on transportation concerns, addressing issues like traffic flows and parking. Understanding the transportation needs of the school community was vital to ensure that the expansion can be achieved without leading to congestion or road safety concerns.
Local residents and parents actively participated in the consultation event, sharing their concerns and suggestions. C&A gained useful feedback from the event which we will use to refine proposals for a planning application next year.
