Charles and Associates have been appointed by Quex Park Estate and the Powell-Cotton Museum to provide specialist advice on access, transport and masterplanning as part of an exciting period of restoration and planned expansion at the popular Thanet attraction.

The Powell-Cotton Museum, located within the historic Quex Park near Birchington-on-Sea, is well known for its unique collections. The estate is seeking to replan the site to improve accessibility, enhance visitor experience and increase visitor numbers. In due course, the museum is also exploring the creation of a Collections Hub, which will improve the storage and display of the museum’s renowned collections.

Charles and Associates will be working closely with the estate and museum to deliver a masterplan that balances accessibility, conservation and the visitor experience. The project also supports efforts to strengthen tourism and the coastal economy in Kent, aligning with Brand Kent’s focus on revitalising the visitor economy and promoting inward investment across the county.
