Kent Science Park Extension
We were pleased to provide transport planning and drainage/flood risk support for a successful hybrid planning application for an extension to the Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne on behalf of the site operator Trinity Investment Management. The consented proposals comprise of additional research & development commercial development as outline and detailed approval for a new state of the art manufacturing facility for GW Pharmaceuticals.
GW is a world-leading producer of cannabinoid-based medicines, specialising in developing treatments for epilepsy and autism. This success will provide further vital employment opportunities for the Borough of Swale within the thriving Kent Science Park in addition to allowing GW to expand their important research and development operations to treat other diseases where significant unmet need exists.
