C&A Supports Milton Keynes’ Indoor Padel Facility with Transport and Parking Assessment

C&A is pleased to announce that planning permission has now been granted for indoor padel courts in Milton Keynes, following the submission of our Transport and Parking Assessment for the proposed change of use in support of the application.

The approved scheme will see an existing vacant warehouse repurposed into a modern indoor padel centre, incorporating playing courts, a café and bar for visitors, and a small retail space dedicated to padel equipment.

Transport Assessment

C&A’s assessment concluded that the proposed development is expected to generate minimal levels of traffic, particularly when compared to the site’s previous warehouse use. Importantly, the change of use would lead to a significant reduction in heavy goods vehicle movements, thereby improving overall amenity for local residents and future site users.

The assessment found no transport-related grounds on which the planning application should be refused.

Parking Provision

A detailed parking analysis was also undertaken to ensure the facility can accommodate users safely and efficiently. The proposed scheme provides a total of 59 parking spaces, including 34 new spaces, and incorporates a range of sustainable and accessible measures including EV charging spaces and a cycle storage with shelter.

These measures ensure that the development is well-served for all modes of travel and aligns with current expectations for sustainable transport provision.
