C&A were delighted to support Betteshanger Country Park and The Seahive to help secure planning approval for the development of a new state-of-the-art surf lagoon within a wider wellness resort and a 120-bed Hotel & Spa facility in Betteshanger, near Deal, Kent.
The ambitious proposals were developed as one overarching masterplan but submitted as separate planning applications which were both approved by Dover District Council’s planning committee this month. The proposals will be centred on an outdoor wave pool for inland surfing, becoming only the second of its kind in the country. This innovation is expected to become a regional attraction significantly boosting the local economy and establishing Betteshanger as a premier destination for leisure and recreation.
C&A provided transport support to both applications, including the development of Transport Assessments, a staff Travel Plan and input to the internal site layouts to ensure appropriate people and traffic movements were catered for. Our team liaised with both KCC Highways and National Highways to overcome any concerns and ensure there were no highways related objections to the application from the relevant highway authorities.
These planning approvals also come on the back of further good news for the C&A team. C&A also provided transport support to an outline application for a residential development at Cheriton Parc, Folkestone for up to 86 residential homes. Find out more here
