Outline Planning Approval Secured for Forstal Business Park Expansion

C&A is pleased to have supported Ramac Holdings as part of the project team that has successfully secured Outline Planning Permission from Tonbridge and Malling Council for the expansion of Forstal Business Park in Aylesford, Kent.

The approved proposal will extend the existing business park onto land to the north of the current site, creating up to 20,000 square metres of new employment space. The development will support future job creation and contribute to long-term economic prosperity in the local area. This aligns with National Planning Policy on building a strong, competitive economy, which supports the identification and delivery of strategic employment sites to help drive investment, job creation and long-term economic growth.

C&A was commissioned to provide transport and highways planning support for the commercial development. Our team assessed the potential traffic impacts on the surrounding road network and demonstrated that the scheme would have minimal impact on local highways.

As part of the assessment, mitigation proposals were developed for M20 Junction 6. Working closely with National Highways, C&A helped agree a design to upgrade the westbound diverge on the M20, reducing queuing and improving traffic flow.

The successful outcome highlights C&A’s ability to deliver robust transport and highways solutions that help unlock commercial development opportunities, while ensuring the surrounding transport network continues to operate effectively.
