English sparkling wine maker Chapel Down received planning approval from the local council to relocate Chapel Down production facilities from Tenterden to farmland at Canterbury Business Park.
Charles & Associates prepared a Flood Risk Assessment incorporating Sustainable Urban Drainage which was submitted with the application. The application site lies within Flood Zone 1 and therefore is at low risk of flooding. It confirms that the proposed drainage scheme includes the capture and discharge of surface water into the underlying geology, via a sustainable combination of cellular soakaways, permeable paving systems and a single ecological infiltration basin. Kent County Council Flood and Water Management raised no objection.
