C & A Help Obtain Approval for Sittingbourne Rugby Club’s New Clubhouse and Pitches

Following our previous involvement in the South West Sittingbourne site, where C&A provided highways, transport expert witness support and flood risk advice, C & A have now helped obtain planning approval for Sittingbourne Rugby Club’s new clubhouse and pitches.

Sittingbourne Rugby Club is a community orientated rugby club seeking a new and improved facility to accommodate its growing membership whilst also wanting to contribute to the local community.   Having outgrown its previous location at Gore Court Cricket Club, they embarked on a venture to establish a new home on Wises Lane in Borden.  The proposed project included the construction of a two-story clubhouse and two rugby pitches. The development plans were submitted by Quinns Estates to Swale Council and approved in November.

Working with Quinn Estates, C&A, leveraging their expertise in highways and transport, provided crucial support for the rugby club component. C & A were able to conduct comprehensive traffic impact assessments to understand the potential impact on local traffic during construction and after completion. We were able to collaborate with Quinn Estates to design access points that optimised traffic flow and ensured safe access which contributed positively to the surrounding community.

The new facilities not only meet the immediate needs of the rugby club but also promise to be a valuable asset for the broader community.
